Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1172044A2] The device for swivelling a piece of equipment, e.g. a hair dryer hood, from a storage position to an operating position comprises a lower section (2) connected by a pivot (X) to an upper section (3). The lower section contains a piston (7) which is biased by a spring (6) against a plate (8) with a curved lower section (9). The position of the piston can be adjusted by a screw (21) mounted in the lower section. The lower section has a peripheral groove (10), allowing it to be mounted on a stand, and the upper section has a recess (12) into which the dryer can be inserted.
