[origin: EP1172230A2] The adhesive application station has an adhesive delivery system (15) with an applicator head (12) for the liquid adhesive, provided with a sliding surface (16) for the printed product having an application jet (42) extending over its full width, provided with at least one delivery opening (20). A manually- or electronically-controlled dosing device (44,45) is positioned immediately adjacent the delivery opening and provides a pressure equalization system with the adhesive reservoir (50) and an integrated pressure reservoir (54), providing automatic pressure compensation after each adhesive delivery. An Independent claim for an operating method for an adhesive application station is also included.
