Abstract (en)
The externally located sun protection (10) is integrated between two plates in a glass component (20) on the front of a building shell. The protective device comprises a switchable or adaptive layer, particularly an electrochromatic and/or phototropic and/or thermotropic and/or gasochromatic layer in the glass component. The glass component is a double insulating glass and the sun protective device (24) is fitted between the individual glasses (20a,20b) or is integrated in a single glass. The glass component is rigidly fitted on the front of the building shell.
