[origin: EP1172624A2] Plate heat exchanger comprises a stack of plates through which the media in the heat exchanger flow, preferably in countercurrent. The individual plates (8) are provided with rows of channel-like stamped sections (9) which lie directly above each other on successive plates. The stamped sections are found on the same sides of the plates and extend in parallel rows at equal distances (r) to each other. Preferred Features: The stamped sections on successive plates are offset in the direction of their rows. The offsets (VP, V) are half the length of the stamped section.
