Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1172625A2] The heat exchanger fin system, made from corrugated and perforated or slitted metal sheet, has the main direction (F1) of its corrugations (14) lying at an oblique angle to its two lateral edges (13). The general direction (F2) with least resistance to the fluid flow forms a substantial angle with the main direction of corrugation and lies parallel to the lateral edges, while the sides of the corrugations have ridges to promote a transverse fluid movement relative to the general direction of least resistance and to create turbulence.
