Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1173045A2] Power MOSFETs (T1,T2,Tn) (heating elements)drain terminals (D) are connected to a common junction point (N2) through temperature sensitive thyristors (S1,S2,Sn). The gate terminals of the MOFSETs are connected through series circuits of diodes (D1,D2,Dn) and resistors (R1,R2,Rn) to this junction. If the temperature of a defective transistor reaches a set limit the thyristor turns on raising the gate potential of the healthy transistors to such a level that the load current operates the fuse (Si).
