[origin: FR2792308A1] An aqueous flow colonized by protozoa is treated with a pulsed electric field whose intensity \- 1 kV/cm An Independent claim is included for treating protozoa as above. Preferred Features: The field is parallel or transverse to the flow. The field intensity is 1 - 30 kV/cm. Up to 50 pulses at 1 - 2000 Hz are delivered. The pulse shape can be trapezoidal, exponentially decaying, sinusoidal or bipolar. The pulse duration is 1 - 10 micro s. The pulses may be uniform or varied.
