[origin: WO0053896A1] The invention relates to a turbine blade (1) which extends along a principal axis (2) from a bottom area (4) via a blade area (6) that can be subjected to hot gas to a top area (8). The turbine blade (1) is essentially formed of carbon that is reinforced by carbon fibres. At least the blade area (6) is provided with a blade outer wall (10) with carbon that is reinforced by carbon fibres. Said wall (10) is surrounded by a protective layer (18).
