[origin: WO0067273A1] The invention relates to a circuit breaker, especially an automatic cutout, with a pair of contacts (1, 2) that consists of a stationary contact (1) and a movable contact (2) that are mounted on a contact arm (3). Said contact arm interacts with a rotary manual command organ (7) via a switch latch (4) with contact position indicator. Said contact position indicator interacts with a snap switch (8) for keeping open the contact arm and for suddenly releasing it into the closed position. The inventive contact position indicator is configured as a two-part device and comprises: a contact position indicator (5) for the closed position of the contact arm (3), said contact position indicator (5) being linked with a snap switch mechanism (8); a contact position indicator (6) for the open position of the contact arm (3), said contact position indicator detecting the displacement of the contact arm (3). Both contact position indicators (5, 6) are located or configured in such a manner that they can swivel independently of each other.
