The concrete slabs or tiles (6) etc to be treated are moved on a conveyor (1) with their surface for treating facing upwards. A motor-driven brush (5) above the conveyor is vertically adjustable on a machine stand support to sweep the surface as the slabs pass along. The final finished surface has lower hygroscopic properties the contact pressure of the brushes is adjustable.

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Glätten und Reduzieren der Hygroskopie einer Oberfläche von Betonbauteilen, insbesondere von Beton- und Terazzoplatten, -steinen und -stufen, bei denen die Oberfläche der unbehandelten Betonbauteile oder der mit stumpfrauer Oberfläche vorbehandelten Betonbauteile gebürstet wird. Es ist ein Förderer (1) vorgesehen, der die zu behandelnden Betonbauteile mit nach oben gerichteter zu behandelnder Oberfläche transportiert. Über dem Förderer (1) ist wenigstens eine von einem Motor angetriebene Bürste (5) vorgesehen, die höhenverstellbar an einem Support (3) an einem Maschinenständer (2) angebracht ist. Die zu behandelnden Betonbauteile werden mit einer regelbaren Vorschubgeschwindigkeit unter der Bürste (5) hindurchgeführt und dabei geglättet. Nach der Bearbeitung zeigen die Betonbauteile eine speckig glänzende Oberfläche mit geglätteter Körnung und geringeren hygroskopischen Eigenschaften. <IMAGE>
