A plastic container for a quantity of food or non-food items consists of thermally or mechanically-formed plastic which is shaped to hold and protect the contents. The container top (1) and base (2) are essentially of identical mirror-image form, the base having two or more feet (6) to provide stability when resting on a flat surface. The top and bottom are hinged (3) together.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Lebesmittelverpackung aus einer thermisch und/oder mechanisch verformbaren Kunststoffolie mit zwei, jeweils einen im wesentlichen ähnlichen Querschnitt aufweisenden, Körpern (1,2), die über mindestens ein zwischen dem ersten und dem zweiten Körper (1,2) befindliches Gelenk (3) auf- und zuklappbar verbunden sind, wobei wenigstens einer der beiden Körper (1,2) mindestens einen Fuß (6) als Standhilfe aufweist und wobei der Fuß (6) einen stabilen Stand gewährleistet, den die Verpackung ohne Fuß (6) gar nicht oder nicht stabil einnehmen würde. <IMAGE>
