The method for avoiding coiling damage to sheet material, in particular, paper and cardboard being coiled onto a coiling drum (2) consists of decoupling, as much as possible, at least the initial material layer from the drum surface. Also claimed is a coiling drum for implementation of the method. It comprises a coating (7) which covers end sections of the drum surface and is provided with at least one groove (8).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Vermeidung von Wickelfehlern, insbesondere von Glanzstellen, in einer Materialbahn (3), insbesondere einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn, die in einer Wickelmaschine auf einen Wickelkern ("Tambour") (2) zu einer aus einer Vielzahl an Materialbahnlagen (3a) bestehenden Wickelrolle (1) aufgewickelt wird. Das Verfahren ist erfindungsgemäß dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zumindest die Materialbahnlage (3a), die anfänglich auf den Wickelkern ("Leertambour") (2) aufgewickelt wird, von dem Wickelkern (2) auf dessen Außenumfangsfläche (A) größtmöglich gezielt entkoppelt wird. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin Wickelkerne ("Tambour") (2) zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens. <IMAGE>
