[origin: FR2793226A1] The invention concerns a machine for setting an object supporting and/or guiding device, called shuttle, on said objects, such as, for instance, bottles or the like, comprising first means for gripping and driving the shuttles to load them on said objects according to a cycle, called setting cycle, carried out between a zone feeding the shuttles (4) wherein they are removed by said first gripping and driving means (1) and a discharge zone (5) of the assemblies of objects and shuttles one set on the other. The invention is characterised in that said first gripping and driving means (1) are arranged to direct any said shuttle which may not have been loaded on one said object during the setting cycle, called in that case recirculating shuttle, to enable them to perform another setting cycle, by passing at said shuttle-feeding zone (4), and to be retracted so as to neutralise their action of removing shuttles when passing through said shuttle-feeding zone (4), when they guide a recirculating shuttle, by co-operation of first cam-guide means (6) with said recirculating shuttles, acting as cams.
