[origin: EP1178124A2] White gold alloy contains 0.5-10 weight % manganese in combination with 0.5-8 weight % chromium as whitener. Preferred Features: The alloy further comprises at least 33.3 weight % gold, 0-8 weight % copper, 1-2 weight % iron, 0.5-2 weight % gallium, 0.5-2 weight % indium. The manganese amount is 0.5-8, preferably 1-4 weight %.
