[origin: DE19903220A1] The invention relates to a combined adapter sleeve-impression cylinder system for a printing machine. Said system is designed to receive a support sleeve for printing plates and comprises an impression cylinder having at least one air outlet on its outer surface and an adapter sleeve (30) which has at least one radial air channel (4) and can be slid on to the impression cylinder by taking advantage of an air cushion. The impression cylinder and the adapter sleeve (30) are provided with a locking device (48) to prevent an axial relative movement between these two components. The invention permits the rapid assembly and disassembly of the adapter sleeve and support sleeve because the locking device rigidly connects these two elements with each other so that support sleeves carrying printing plates can be slid on to and withdrawn from the adapter sleeve without displacement of said adapter sleeve.
