Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10024981A1] The device has a hydraulic piston, engaging on a component to hold it. The hollow piston (1) is guided in a cylinder housing (2) so that due to the hydraulic charge, friction forces are generated between piston and cylinder housing, when these are extended. The forces retain the piston in position against external actions. The piston has a central wall section (5) of reduced thickness, which is deformed under hydraulic pressure charge and engages on the inner cylinder housing wall.
