A filter medium includes a hydrodynamically (vernadeltes, sic) spun fleece (sic) of compression (sic) 1:1.5 to 1:3, and surface weight 150 to 600 g/m<2>, where the filament denier of the fleece is 3 dtex at maximum, preferably 0.8-2.5 dtex. An Independent claim is included for the production of the filter medium involving the preparation of fleece filaments from synthetic polymers, consolidating of the fleece hydrodynamically with the aid of water jets to a compression (sic) of 1:1.5 to 1:3 and drying.

Es wird ein Filtermedium beschrieben, das ein hydrodynamisch vernadeltes Spinnvlies aus synthetischen Filamenten umfaßt, das eine Verdichtung von 1 : 1,5 bis 1 : 3 aufweist, ein Flächengewicht von 150 bis 600 g/m<2> besitzt und das eine warmgeglättete Oberfläche aufweist. Das Filtermedium ist insbesondere zum Reinigen von Atemluft, Luft oder sonstigen Gasen, insbesondere zum Entstauben von Atemluft, Luft oder sonstigen Gasen geeignet, sowie zum Trennen von Fest/Flüssig- und Flüssig/Flüssiggemischen.
