[origin: WO0068501A1] In a printable substrate, particularly a paper-based substrate, improved printing quality, good print protection from water and frictional wear is achieved in that a support layer (12) has one print fixing layer (11) on at least one side and a film-forming organic pigment and a filmable coating (10) containing a binding agent are placed on the print fixing layer (11). The structure makes it possible to especially use low melting point organic pigments and enables simpler filming while preserving the flatness of the substrate.
