Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0174199A1] The invention relates to a slatted frame for reclining furniture, comprising two substantially parallel longitudinal bars (50) extending in the longitudinal direction and having two opposite interior faces (32). The slatted frame has furthermore a plurality of spaced-apart slats (10, 71, 72) that are disposed transversely to the longitudinal bars (50) and that together form an area of support for a mattress. The slats (10, 71, 72) are linked with the longitudinal bars (50) by means of substantially two-limbed leaf spring elements (20, 81, 82), one limb (22) of a leaf spring element (20) each being fastened to one of the slats (10) and the other limb (23) of said leaf spring element (20) being fastened to the interior face (32) of one of the longitudinal bars (50). The slatted frame is low in height and is thus suitable to be put into a frame of a resting furniture while at the same time allowing a comparably large spring path for the slats (10, 71, 72), especially in the area of the longitudinal bars (50) carrying the slats (10, 71, 72).
