Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0060203A1] A wall control unit (60) for a movable barrier operator (10) sends baseband signals over a wire connection (62) to a head unit (24) of a movable barrier operator to command the movable barrier toperform barrier operator functions. The wall control unit (60) has a wall control unit port for connection to the wire connection (62). A first switch (122) sends a barrier command signal to the head unit (24) commanding the head unit (24) to open or close a movable barrier (16). A second switch (120) commands the head unit (24) to provide energization to a light source (72). An infrared detector (78) causes a command signal to be sent to the head unit (24) to control the illumination state of the light source (72).
