[origin: FR2794270A1] The invention concerns a device for protecting an electronic pay parking ticket (10) against theft comprising an electronic memory card reader (14). The invention is characterised in that said protective device comprises an unlocking card (20) containing in storage (21) a code (C) specific to the card and code validity duration (D), designed to be transferred into the electronic ticket (10) when the unlocking card (20) is first inserted in said reader (14) such that when the code validity duration (D) expires, the electronic pay parking ticket (10) is not operational until said unlocking card (20) is once more inserted in the electronic memory card reader (14). The invention is applicable to motor vehicle parking in urban areas.
