Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19924565A1] The invention relates to a device for feeding contact elements into a crimping tool of a crimping press. Said device has a support element (2), on which a slide (4) is displaceably mounted in a working direction (3) and a device (45, 47, 48, 6, 7, 11, 10) for converting the lifting movement of the slide into an oscillating transport movement, comprising a delivery stroke and a return stroke of a transport finger (158). The device is characterised in that the conversion device has a step-by step motion linkage (15) with a drive member (6, 56, 57), a negative lift drive member (7) and a lock (60, 120, 121). The drive member is mechanically coupled with the slide (4) and periodically engages the negative lift drive member (7). The lock (60, 120, 121) has a locking element (6) and at least one counter-locking element (120, 121), whereby the locking element (60) engages the counter-locking element in a counter-cyclical manner, in order to engage the drive members (6, 7), thus locking the negative lift drive member (7) and said negative lift drive member is mechanically coupled with the transport finger (158).
