[origin: EP1182127A1] The extendable platform (8) moves between a stowed position in which it fits into a matching opening in the hull and an extended position. A seal (10) surrounds the hull opening and engages a corresponding seal (9) on the platform. The first seal (10) has a gap (24), to allow free movement, which is closed by a third seal (26) when the platform is in its stowed position.
