Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1182302A1] Before the excavator is moved with its rail wheels (6) on the track, the actual relative position between upper body and lower chassis is determined using a detector unit (20). This generates a relative position signal and transmits it to a regulator device (22) with computer (21). The device generates a control signal, which causes connection of the rod chambers (23) of two piston-cylinder-units (8.1,8.2), and hydraulic connection between the cylinder chambers (25.1,25,2) of the units and an oil reservoir (28).
