The housing is rotatably retained in a recess (2) of a tabletop (3) so that the network and/or data plug sockets are accessible selectively from the top or bottom of the table top. The housing has two front side sections (5) rotatably retained in bearings on the table top. Preferably there is a rectangular frame (7) insertable into the recess in the table top. At least one section may have a through bushing and/or a plug connector for passing and coupling network cables and/or data lines.
