[origin: WO0062958A1] The invention relates to a device (10) for producing work pieces that is provided with a die-casting tool (18). A plurality of cooling channels (16, 20, 22, 24, 26) extend through the die-casting tool (18) close to the tool surface. The cooling channels are provided with at least one inlet (36) and one outlet (38) for the coolant. The outlet is connected to a reduced pressure source (42) and the inlet is connected to a coolant reservoir (50).
