Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0076900A1] The invention relates to a bridge crane, especially a container-loading bridge, comprising a portal, a boom, a track system that is laid on said boom, and crane trolleys that travel on said tracks. The track system consists of a working track (10), whose two rails are set apart at a distance corresponding to the wide distance that separates the running wheels (12) of the crane trolleys (14) when they are in a working position; a return track (16), whose two rails are set apart at a distance corresponding to the narrow distance that separates the running wheels (18) of the crane trolleys (14) when they are in a return position; and two arched pieces (18, 20) that are arranged around the area at the ends of the boom and in which the working track (10) and the return track (16) meet. The two wheel suspension mechanisms of the crane trolleys (14) are configured in such a way that they can rotate freely about a vertical axis (22) and the two axes of rotation (22) of the crane trolleys (14) are situated at a distance from their longitudinal axis that corresponds to half of the distance between the two rails of the return track (16).
