Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0066896A1] A connection system for load-bearing modular structures includes connectors (1) including a plurality of connector arms (10) extending in predetermined directions. Each of said connector arms (10) is aimed at being introduced into a corresponding recess (20) made in the connecting rod (2). A connector arm (10) includes a body (11) and a head (12). The head (12) has a lateral aperture (14) opening outwards. The body (11) features a longitudinal cavity (13) which communicates with the lateral aperture (14). The body (11) features also a plurality of lateral through holes (15) communicating with the longitudinal cavity (13). The through holes (15) are equipped with corresponding gudgeons (16) sliding thereinside between a non-working position and a working position, in which the gudgeons (16) protrude from the connector arm (10), so as to engage the inner walls of said recess (20). A shaped shaft (30) is situated inside the cavity (13) and is operated through the lateral aperture (14), so as to move the gudgeons (16) between said non-working and working positions.
