[origin: EP1184175A1] The sheet transporting cylinder (1) has air jets for sheet formats ranging from minimum format (4) to maximum format (5). The air jets include throttled air jets (7, 8), which are set for the minimum format. There may also be unthrottled air jets (9, 10) as well as the throttled ones. There may also be throttled air jets outside the region covered by the minimum format.
