The label and the carrier are mounted in a centering device and their relative positions are independently fixed. The label is then applied to the carrier by moving the label and/or the carrier so that the label lies flat on the carrier. The label and/or carrier may then be subjected to a predetermined pressing force. An Independent claim is included for a centering device.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Universal-Labeling-System, beinhaltend ein Verfahren zum positionsgenauen Aufbringen eines Etiketts (12) auf ein Trägerelement (11) sowie eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. Um ein Verfahren zum positionsgenauen Aufbringen eines Etiketts (12) auf ein Trägerelement (11) zu schaffen, das auf einfache Weise durchführbar ist und ein positionsgenaues Aufbringen des Etiketts ohne Faltenbildung und ohne den Einschluß von Luftblasen ermöglicht, wird mit der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, daß in einem ersten Schritt das Etikett und das zu etikettierende Trägerelement in eine Zentriervorrichtung (1) eingespannt und unabhängig voneinander in ihrer relativen Lage zueinander fixiert werden und daß in einem zweiten Schritt das Etikett auf das Trägerelement aufgebracht wird, wozu das Etikett und/oder das Trägerelement in einer geführten Bewegung derart verfahren werden, daß das Etikett flächig auf dem Trägerelement aufliegt. <IMAGE>
