Abstract (en)
The method for winding plastic sheet (1) use a first core (2) mounted on a first pair of arms (5) attached to a central pivot (4) and on which a roll (6) of sheet is formed, in contact with a contact roller (7). A second pair of arms (8) carries a second core (3) and is swivelled into a storage position (A) with the core fitting into a recess in a transverse cutting device. When a roll is finished on the first core, the arms (5) are swivelled to a new position (E) and simultaneously the second core is swivelled to replace it, together with the cutting device. This cuts the plastic sheet and its end is wound on to the new core. An independent claim is included for a machine for carrying out the method.
