[origin: EP1184515A1] The safety barrier, comprising at least one horizontal rail (3) fastened to vertical supports (1) via spacers (2), and a lower screen (10) to prevent two-wheeled vehicles sliding under it in the event of an accident, has the screen fitted below the rail on brackets (14) made from a material and with dimensions that allow them to bend under the force of a substantial impact, with the screen pivoting relative to the rail. The brackets are in the form of separate components attached to the rail and screen by fixings (18, 19).
