Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1184517A2] The rotating spreader plate (1), to scatter sand or grit and the like over road surfaces in winter, has a number of paddles (2-4) rotating around a center and vertical axis (7). The radial inner ends (3a) of at least some paddles with different outer radii have different root heights. The root height of paddles with a minimum outer radius is higher than the root height of paddles with a maximum outer radius.
