The display unit (1), for mounting display panels and the like, has at least one base carrier to take connecting bodies (6,6') with openings to fix at least one carrier (4). The connecting bodies have openings (7) to take the ends of a holding rod (8) bonded to the carrier for the display material. The connecting bodies are separated along a guide rod (5), as cylindrical bodies with axially parallel holder openings. The assembly is supported by a stand (2) on a footplate (3).
