Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1184572A2] The sealing device has a mainly ring-shaped high pressure seal (1) located on a transitional section of the high pressure components (2,3), and a low pressure seal (12). This is positioned about the high pressure seal for sealing against any leakage occurring through that seal. The high pressure seal is of metal, e.g. steel or spring steel, or plastic, esp. elastomer, or of caoutchouc, and is under tension when fitted. The low pressure seal is of metal, plastic, caoutchouc, or of plastic-coated metal.
