[origin: WO0076903A1] The invention relates to a working platform which can be extended and retracted by means of a scissors mechanism with a lower pair of scissors arms (1) which are connected to at least one upper pair of scissors arms (1) located above it. The aim of the invention is to provide a working platform with a minimal transport height without compromising its stability and load-bearing capacity. To this end, the upper pair of scissors arms (1) are sloped (8) outwards on the inner sides (6) towards the lower end (4) of said inner sides. This slope (8) enables the scissors arms (1) to lie directly on top of each other when they are collapsed without forming intermediate spaces, so as to obtain a maximum working height and a minimal transport height.
