Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1186347A1] The device for atomizing fluids contains a rotatable hollow cylinder for accommodation of fluid to be atomized and a drive for rotating the cylinder. The cylinder is closed by a base at its lower side and has an opening at its upper side. The wall of the cylinder has a number of round hole nozzles for emission of fluid to be atomized. An inlet tube (31) is rotatable with the cylinder (21) and through it fluid is fed into the cylinder. An inlet (32) of the inlet tube is connected with the opening (25) of the hollow cylinder and thereby with a source for the fluid to be atomized. An outlet (33) of the inlet tube is arranged in the end area near the base of the hollow cylinder. The inlet tube is so arranged that its longitudinal axis (34) coincides with the rotation axis (27) of the hollow cylinder. It extends along the rotation axis of the hollow cylinder and its outlet faces the inside of the wall (26) of the cylinder.
