Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1186712A2] The road surface consists of a steel or concrete substructure with an asphalt surface layer. A steel plate of defined size is anchored to the substructure at points forming a set pattern. An anchoring support is fastened shear-resistant to the steel plate, and the asphalt for the covering layer is applied to the support. Steel plate and anchoring support have corrosion protection, e.g. galvanization. The support consists of a constructional steel mat, and there is a sheet of corrugated iron between steel plate and substructure.
