Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0061186A1] We have discovered that VEGF expression is induced following exposure tumors to ionizing radiation (IR) both in vitro and in vivo. We found that treatment of tumor-bearing mice with a neutralizing antibody to VEGF prior to irradiation is associated with greater than additive antitumor effects.
