Abstract (en)
To stiffen textile fabrics, at the pattern cutting sections (17) and especially at the fabric piecegoods (15), a substance (22) which can flow is sprayed or pressed accurately in position. To stiffen fabrics, the flow substance is applied under computer control by an applicator, with at least one application over the whole surface of the pattern section to be cut from the fabric along the outline of the stiffening. The cut edges preferably pass through the edges of the stiffening. The applied stiffening is dried after application preferably by heat radiation, and before the pattern sections are cut from the fabric. The stiffening is composed of different substances with different strengths or thickness and/or different substances are applied in zones to stiffen the cut pattern sections. The fabric, with marked pattern sections, is fed through the application zone and is stopped while the stiffening is applied. During the application, the fabric is held by a lower plate (10), and especially by suction.

Bei der Verstärkung von textilen Flächengebilden, insbesondere Oberstoffzuschnitten (17), werden üblicherweise separate Einlagestoffzuschnitte verwendet. Diese müssen getrennt zugeschnitten werden, von Hand auf die Oberstoffzuschnitte (17) genau positioniert aufgelegt und mit den Oberstoffzuschnitten (17) verklebt werden. Das ist äußerst aufwendig. Dir Erfindung schlägt ein Verfahren zur Verstärkung textiler Flächengebilde, insbesondere Oberstoffzuschnitte (17), vor, bei dem die Verstärkung aus fließfähigen Substanzen gezielt positioniert auf die Oberstoffzuschnitte (17), insbesondere Materialbahnen (15) zur Bildung derselben, aufgespritzt oder aufgedruckt wird. Dadurch entfällt das Zuschneiden, Positionieren und Verkleben separater Einlagestoffzuschnitte. Des weiteren ist vorgesehen, für die Verstärkung fließfähige Substanzen unterschiedlicher Art und/oder inhomogene Substanzen zu verwenden. Dadurch ist es möglich, Verstärkungen mit beliebigen Eigenschaften und Gestaltungen zu bilden. <IMAGE>
