[origin: EP1188897A1] Rock drill has a drill head connected to a drill spiral having the same diameter with a centering tip (12) having a hard metal plate whose diameter is less than that of the drill head. A set of second and third drill bodies (16, 18, 20) is located on different radial positions in addition to the hard metal plate. The radial positions gradually spring back against the centering tip and the radial outermost set of the third drill bodies springs back the furthest.
