[origin: EP1188999A2] A refrigerating appliance has a casing of at least partially non-magnetic material. The casing has a door opening surrounded by a frame. A door on the frame closes onto a magnetic seal fitted on its edge. The frame carries one or more rigid strips (1) of ferromagnetic material stretched lengthwise to face the magnetic seal.
