[origin: WO0066454A1] The invention concerns a packaging for brittle objects globally cylindrical in shape, formed by a shaped section made of deformable material, having a section forming two panels (6, 7) each exhibiting a periodic alternation of semi-cylindrical concave transverse cells (9-17, 19-27) opening on a lower portion at 180 DEG , and protruding globally convex transverse cells, the transverse cells of the first panel being offset by about half a pitch relative to the transverse cells of the second panel such that the protruding transverse ribs of one panel are urged to be partially housed in the cells of the matching panel.
