The cylinder has a channel projecting into the inside so that the ends of the type forme can be guided through the channel edges. At least one of the channel edges (13, 14) is curved to produce constant tension forces over the width of the type forme. The curvature increases in the centre area of the type forme and decreases in the side areas. Rollers can be provided along the curved edge to reduce friction.

Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, einen Zylinder zur Aufnahme einer Druckform zu entwickeln, der mit geringem Aufwand ein gleichmäßiges und bewegungsfreies Aufspannen einer Druckform ermöglicht. Die Erfindung besteht darin, dass bei einem Zylinder, der einen ins Innere des Zylinders ragenden Kanal mit Kanalkanten aufweist, der sich in Richtung der Mantellinien des Zylinders erstreckt und durch den die Enden der Druckform geführt sind, und eine Vorrichtung zum Spannen der Druckform auf der Mantelfläche des Zylinders enthält, zum Erreichen im Wesentlichen über die Breite (b) der Druckform (1,16) konstanter Spannkräfte (7) mindestens eine der Kanalkanten (2,3,13,14) gewölbt ausgeführt ist. Die Erfindung ist bei Druckmaschinen anwendbar, die einen Druckformzylinder aufweisen, der insbesondere zur Aufnahme von Druckfolien ausgebildet ist. <IMAGE>
