Step or pallet for an escalator or moving walkway comprises an extruded body (10) for fixing the walking surface to the upper wall of the body. An extruded main rib (24) extends diagonally upward from a lower/front fixing eyelet (20) to essentially below the middle of the upper wall (12) and is part of the supporting structure. An Independent claim is also included for an escalator or moving walkway.

Eine Stufe oder Palette für eine Fahrtreppe oder einen Fahrsteig weist einen Grundkörper auf, der für die Befestigung einer Trittflächenplatte auf der Oberwand des Grundkörpers bestimmt ist. Der Grundkörper (10) ist im Strangpreßverfahren hergestellt, wobei eine stranggepreßte Hauptrippe (24) sich von einem unteren/vorderen Befestigungsauge (20) schräg nach oben bis im wesentlichen unter die Mitte der Oberwand (12) erstreckt und Teil einer Stützstruktur ist. <IMAGE>
