A distance washer (19) comprises at least a first element (1) and a second element (12) arranged along a longitudinal axis (6) of said distance washer (19), wherein a position of said first element (1) relative to said second element (12) along said longitudinal axis (6) is changeable in order to vary a thickness of said distance washer (19) with respect to said longitudinal axis (6). The change of thickness of said distance washer (19) is useful for compensating tolerances between different parts to be fixed together. <IMAGE>
