[origin: EP1191453A2] The device does not output an interrupt request until several interrupt requests have been received. The component that effects this includes a counter that counts the received interrupt requests and prevents an interrupt request being output until a certain count state is reached. The count state may be statically or dynamically changed as required. An Independent claim is included for a further device for redirecting interrupt requests.
