Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1191501A2] Display device for depicting the route, with the current position, of a local transport vehicle (12). The device comprises a monitor with a remote controller (14) for controlling the screen output, which is dependent on route and stop being approached. The controller uses data from a vehicle GPS sensor to determine its position and can display screen output according to location, e.g. advertise a restaurant in the vicinity of a certain stop. An Independent claim is made for a method for displaying the route traveled by a local transport vehicle and adjusting a screen display according to the position of a vehicle on its route.
