[origin: EP1192890A2] The bag has a mounting plate (2) and a tubular dust bag (3) with a closed free end region (5) and a region joined to the mounting plate. An outwardly curved dust bag cross-fold (10) extends beneath the dust bag material adhering to the mounting plate and at least over the width (b) of the mounting plate and edge folds (13,15) are formed starting from it and extending over the length of the fill volume of the dust bag. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of manufacturing a filter bag.
