Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1193059A1] The printing machine has printing plate cylinders (1) with first and second ends. A sleeve (8) with first printing face is placed around the first end and a second sleeve (10) with second printing face is placed around the second end. These two sleeves can be moved axially relative to the central printing surface to reduce the fan-out effect of a web which is being printed by the print cylinders. Independent claim describes method for correcting fan out by scanning register marks an a section of the web and changing the axial position of one part of the plate cylinder relative to the second part to reduce fan out of printed material web.
